The Bridge Collaborative creates the space to think through complex problems across sectors and find new solutions that rapidly mobilize change. We welcome diverse organizations, researchers and practitioners to leverage each other’s unique expertise, find synergies and develop solutions to the world’s toughest challenges.
In these collaborative gatherings, we hone in on specific objectives and work through what it will take to achieve them through new thinking, planning and tools. In our first year, we brought together several of these workshops.
FINALIZING A PROTOTYPE
We met in San Francisco to finalize the content for the first version of our Practitioner’s Guide on cross-sector action planning and evidence evaluation, which we will apply, learn from and evolve with our members and network.
FULL COLLABORATIVE WORKSHOP
More than 100 professionals from the health, development and environment sectors met at our first Full Collaborative meeting to co-design principles and guidance for cross-sectoral action.
LAYING THE FOUNDATION
At our first meeting of working group leaders and Secretariat, we laid the groundwork for the development of principles and guidance for cross-sectoral action planning and evidence evaluation.
We gather with decision makers to hear their priorities for cross-sector work and co-design how the Bridge Collaborative can help advance them.
ACCELERATING INTEGRATED HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT SOLUTIONS
The Bridge Collaborative and the United Nations Development Programme convened a group of more than 30 global leaders and experts in New York City to discuss the question: what steps can be taken to accelerate integrated actions for health and environment? Together, the group identified three steps for action, which will be critical to the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
DRIVING DIALOGUE ON CROSS-SECTOR FUNDING
The Bridge Collaborative and EAT co-hosted a dialogue adjacent to the 2018 EAT Stockholm Food Forum. We brought together representatives of private, public and multi-lateral funding entities to identify actionable steps to accelerate investment in cross-sector solutions.
At our global launch event, our leadership luncheon sparked honest conversations with public- and private-sector leaders about what it will take to incentivize cross-sector action.
FROM SHARED PRINCIPLES TO COLLECTIVE IMPACT
We hosted senior leaders at a roundtable adjacent to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund spring meetings in Washington, DC, to find ways to break down silos among the health, development and environment communities.
We highlight the work of the Bridge Collaborative to the wide and growing set of audiences where cross-sector impact matters.
